Extensions
There are four types of extensions: modules, feathers, themes, and translations. Many useful extensions come bundled with Chyrp Lite, and you can also create your own.
Installing Extensions
Installation varies slightly depending on what type of extension you are installing.
Installing Feathers
- Download and unzip the feather.
- Upload the feather's containing folder into the feathers folder.
- Open your web browser and navigate to your Chyrp Lite administration console.
- Click on the Extend tab, and then the Feathers sub tab.
- Find the feather in the list and click the Enable button.
You can now use the feather by navigating to the Write tab and choosing the feather you uploaded.
Installing Modules
- Download and unzip the module.
- Upload the module's containing folder into the modules folder.
- Open your web browser and navigate to your Chyrp Lite administration console.
- Click on the Extend tab.
- Find the module in the list and click the Enable button.
The module is now installed and is ready for action. If the module conflicts with another module that is enabled, the conflict will be reported beneath the module's description.
Installing Themes
- Download and unzip the theme.
- Upload the theme's containing folder into the themes folder.
- Open your web browser and navigate to your Chyrp Lite administration console.
- Click on the Extend tab, and then the Themes sub tab.
- Find the theme you wish to select and click on the Select button.
Bundled Extensions
The following extensions are bundled with Chyrp Lite:

| Likes | Allow users to "like" a post. |
| MAPTCHA | Ask users to solve simple mathematics problems to prevent spam. |
| MathJax | A JavaScript display engine for mathematics. |
| Migration Assistant | Enables import from Wordpress, MovableType, TextPattern, and Tumblr. |
| Post Views | Counts the number of times your posts have been viewed. |
| Read More | Add "…more" links to your blog index by typing <!--more--> or <!--more custom text--> in your posts. |
| Rights | Adds post options for attribution and assigning intellectual property rights. |
| Sitemap Generator | Creates a sitemap.xml file on your server to help search engines index your blog. |
| Tagginator | Adds tagging functionality to posts. |
| Mentionable | Register webmentions from blogs that link to yours. |
